Business & Enterprise News

A number of activities are taking place again this year.  Three teams of students from Years 10,11,12 and 13 who are competing in the Worshipful Company of International Bankers (WCIB) dragon's den business challenge will be running their businesses/events.  One is selling stationery (HS Stationers), another, smoothie drinks and glow bands (Sweet & Simple!), and the last company 'Think Fun!' is running competitions.
There will also be the 'Gorgeous Gateaux' lunchtime club (with free pizza) for Years 7 and 8 in the Business Department on Tuesday and Wednesday (up to 16 students per day so they must book their places with me).
Two enterprising sisters from Years 7 and 8 (Sarah and Amel) make the most impressive and stylish handcrafted cards, which they will be taking orders for in the staff room at lunch time - really worth taking a look at!
After school on Monday 17th November we will have a McKinsey guru lecture and networking event for Years 12 and 13 Academy students, when we will be joined by students from Lambeth College.
On Tuesday after school there will be a Body Shop Workshop for 6th form girls only - again limited number of places (20) so booking is essential.
On Thursday after school there will be a Cookery Club, run by two of our silver surfers for a maximum of 12 students (6 x year 9 students and 6 x 6th form students).   They'll be making curry and a dessert, and then sitting down to enjoy their meal together with relaxing music and good company!  Again places will need to be booked.
More details will be posted up on the main boards in reception.  Take a look and book up your places.
