A Historic Visit to See the Bayeux Tapestry
Haverstock students had the opportunity to be a part of a very special event marking the opening by King Charles and President Emmanuel Macron of the Bayeux Tapestry at The British Museum. Alongside being in the presence of royalty and the President of France and the PM, students had a sneak preview of the tapestry in all its glory, all were in awe of this historical artefact and the significance it has to British History .
'I was surprised by the magnitude of the importance of the Bayeux Tapestry itself . Seeing important figures such as the King attended the event shows how valuable and meaningful the tapestry is in British history . ' Yaseen Rahman
'Being a part of history was a very exciting opportunity . I am grateful to have been given the chance to meet such high -up people ' Vesa Zeka
