Posted on: 1st Oct 2026Year 7 Library Induction
This week, our new Year 7 students took part in their Library Induction sessions, held on Monday and Tuesday during their English lessons.
The sessions gave students the opportunity to explore the library, learn how to find and borrow books, and discover the range of resources available to support their learning and reading for pleasure.
Students were also introduced to the daily co-curricular clubs and activities available in the library, giving them lots of opportunities to get involved, meet other students and develop new interests. They also found out how they can become a Library Monitor, taking on an active role in supporting the library and helping to make it a welcoming space for everyone.
The induction also introduced students to the library routines and expectations, helping them feel confident using the space independently.
We look forward to welcoming our Year 7 students back to the library throughout the year as they discover new books, get involved in our co-curricular activities and make the most of everything the library has to offer.

Library Manager & Communications Coordinator
