Sixth Form Masterclasses - Inspiring Futures

Year 12 students took part in an inspiring masterclass with Sol N’Jie, who shared his journey from growing up in a children’s home to becoming a professional rugby player, pilot and senior leader at Microsoft, and now leading a successful rugby club. His story highlighted the importance of ambition, resilience and creating opportunities despite barriers.

On a busy half-day early finish, 17 Year 12 students attended a masterclass with the EY Foundation.

The workshop introduced the Smart Futures programme, which offers an eight-day paid placement at one of the world’s leading accounting firms. Students were also introduced to Step into Business, a competition for business students offering the opportunity to win £2,000 to develop their business idea.

The students made a very positive impression, with several staying behind to ask further questions and network.
