SEND Transition MorningsMondays in June | 9:00–10:00 (by invitation) For pupils who would benefit from additional support during transition. Please contact the school office to discuss attendance. |
Primary School VisitsJune – July Our Year 7 team will visit local primary schools to meet pupils, introduce themselves, and begin building familiarity ahead of September. |
Transition Information EveningWednesday 24 June | 5:00–6:00pm A key session for parents and carers providing essential information about starting secondary school. |
Summer Saturdays27 June | 4 July Informal sessions for incoming Year 7 pupils to meet peers and take part in activities such as sport, creative workshops, and team-building activities. If you would like your child to attend the Summer School Sessions, please complete the sign-up for here. |
Year 7 Induction DayThursday 2 July | 9:00-11:50am Pupils will spend a morning at school meeting staff, exploring the site, and taking part in introductory lessons. This helps pupils become familiar with routines and meet others in their tutor group. |
Year 7 Start DayThursday 3 September Year 7 pupils start one day earlier than the rest of the school to allow time to settle in and become confident in their new environment. |
School Uniform
All students are expected to wear full school uniform from the start of Year 7.
Uniform supports a sense of belonging and helps maintain high expectations across the school community.

We recommend a small number of trusted resources to support pupils and families as they prepare for secondary school.

Preparing for Secondary School
We understand that starting secondary school is an important step for pupils and families.
Our transition programme is designed to ensure that every child feels welcomed, known, and supported from the very beginning.
During the transition period, pupils will:
- Meet key staff and pastoral leaders
- Visit the school and become and familiar with key areas
- Take part in induction and enrichment activities
- Learn about expectations, routines, and school life
We will also provided regualr updates to families throguhout the summer term.
