Haverstock School celebrates our BEST EVER results at GCSE and A-Level.

Haverstock students have risen to the challenge of the new tougher grading system (where grades 9-1 replacing the old A*-G) and have earned the BEST EVER results in our school's history. This is a fantastic pay–off after a year of many changes and lots of hard work from our students.

Over half of the results in all subjects were Grade 5 (the old Grade B), and a fifth were Grades 7-9 (the old A*/A). 66% of students achieved Grade 4 (to the old C) in English and Maths. More than 100 students are now joining our thriving Sixth Form to continue their studies.

Top GCSE performers included Edwin Zaimovic with six Grade 9s, two Grade 8s and a Grade 7, Adam Ferroudj with three Grade 9s, four Grade 8s, one Grade 7 and two A* grades, and Derome Robinson with three Grade 9s, three Grade 8s, one Grade 7, two A* and one A.

There was great news in the previous week’s A level results too – with our average result leaping up by a whole grade, to a Grade C this year. As a result, every student that was aiming for university has confirmed a place for September. Other Sixth Formers are going on to training and career-related options including Higher Apprenticeships. Top A-Level performers included Ismail Uddin with one A*, one A and one B and Salah Ahmed with two As and one B grade.

James Hadley, who became Headteacher at Haverstock a year ago says, “We are delighted that our students have risen to the challenge of the new tougher qualifications with the best results in the school’s history by some margin. I have never seen students work so hard and their efforts have been rewarded with some fantastic results. Congratulations to them all and huge thanks to their teachers and all of the team at Haverstock for supporting them to do so well.”
