A Warm Welcome to our 2025 Freshers.

If your child is starting at Haverstock as a Year 7 'fresher' in September 2025, welcome! Thank you for choosing our school.

Starting Year 7 is the first step on an exciting new school journey for your child. Between now and September, we’ll help your child get settled, make new friends, and grow their confidence so they’re all set to succeed.

We were delighted to welcome our new Haverstock families for a morning of getting to know one another and sharing our vision for secondary transition. If you missed it, don't worry – we have a great programme of events coming up, with lots more opportunities to get to know us and the building in advance of September.

And we'll add you to our weekly news email, Haverstock School News, so you can see what's happening in school each week.

Calendar Countdown to September

Please put these dates in your calendar now. We'll send you more information closer to each event.

• Every Monday in June, 9-10am

SEND Transition Mornings by invitation. If you think your child would benefit from attending, contact Olivia Kerr via the school office.

• June & July - Primary School Visits

Through Summer Term, our Year 7 team will be visiting local primary schools to meet every single one of our new freshers, to introduce ourselves and to start learning all about your child.

• Thu 26 June - Freshers Information Evening, 5-6pm

The most essential event, where we will give you all the information necessary for a great start to your new school.

• Sat 28 June, 5 July & 12 July – Summer Saturdays

All our freshers are invited to a series of fun Saturday morning events, where they can meet some of the current Year 7 students and try out new activities like trampoline and tie-dye. Watch this space for detalis on how to book.

• Thu 3 July – Year 7 Induction Day, 9-12.00

All Year 6 pupils spent a morning in their new school meeting their Year Leader and Tutor, joining fun treasure-hunt tours of the school and taking part in some sample lessons. The day helps our Freshers understand their new school routines ahead of September. It's also a great opportunity to meet the other Year 6 pupils who will be in their tutor group.

• Tue 2 Sept (TBC)  – Year 7 Getting Ready Day

Our new Year 7 students start school a day before the other years, so they can settle in and get to know their surroundings.
