Co-Curriculum

The Haverstock Co-Curriculum is one of our 4 Pillars of Excellence, and we believe it's just as important as the others. Taking part in a club or activity earns 'Well Done' points for each student, as well as being a great chance to try something new.

We have lots of briliant choices to engage every student, in an exciting programme of 40 different activities, so we hope that every single student will step forward and give our Co-Curricular clubs and activities a try!

Please take a look at our latest programme on the download link at the base of this page.

BEFORE SCHOOL Students can arrive at school from 7.30am and have access to computers, books and newspapers in the library. Every morning our students can work out in our active outdoor fitness gym from 8.00am until 8.30am.

AT LUNCHTIMES We offer a range of leisure and study activities every lunchtime ranging from Inter-tutor competitions, ICT, fitness sports, jewellery making and quiet study sessions. Many of these are supervised by our trained team of sixth form volunteers.

AFTER SCHOOL From 3.15pm a wide variety of clubs and activities are available. Students can do homework in the library with support from sixth formers until 4.30pm, in addition to our Homework Support Sessions for each year. Sports activities including basketball, football, gymnastics, karate, trampolining and free running are offered during the week alongside specific subject clubs such as maths, ICT, science, STEM, business, media, design and technology and art. In the run up to coursework deadlines and exams, all subject areas offer a programme of support and revision sessions after school.

HALF TERMS AND HOLIDAYS We provide sports programmes in most holidays as well as hosting other holiday activities in collaboration with the Roundhouse, Arsenal and Bloomsbury football, The Challenge and Camden Summer University. Summer schools in July and August for our new Year 7 students are sometimes also able to accommodate students from other years. Holiday revision programmes are available in the holidays before exam periods.

LINKS WITH THE ROUNDHOUSE We encourage students to participate in the music, drama, and media courses offered by the Roundhouse after school, at weekends and during the holidays.
