Celebrating a strong set of GCSE results

GCSE Results – Autumn 2025

Haverstock students have been celebrating a strong set of GCSE results, with outcomes continuing to improve on the pre-pandemic results of 2019, and with particularly impressive numbers at the highest grades. The percentage of exams passed at grade 4, as well as those achieving grades 9-7, were in line with national figures - something to celebrate given the disruption these students experienced during their transition from primary to secondary school.

Our Science results were particularly strong at the top end. This, alongside our excellent Science outcomes at A Level, demonstrates real strength in this key subject at Haverstock School. Most of our students are going on to join Haverstock’s oversubscribed Sixth Form in September, which itself celebrated its best-ever results last week on A Level results day.

Katie Metselaar, Head of School at Haverstock said: “Congratulations to our Year 11 students on their incredibly impressive GCSE results. These results were hard-fought and demonstrate the great potential of our students. Achieving these grades, despite the huge disruption they faced during the pandemic, is a remarkable accomplishment. Like all other Year 11s across the country, they missed out on the key transition from primary to secondary school back in 2020, and they should all be commended for their resilience.

We look forward to welcoming them into our high-performing Sixth Form - celebrating its best-ever results - and to ensuring that this next transition is an incredibly successful one.”
