A Level Biologists Study At World-Famous Crick Institute.

This month, our Year 13 Biology students had an incredible opportunity: to undertake their A Level practical work at the renowned Francis Crick Institute.

Our students were excited to spend a day at this leading centre of biomedical research, where they took part in a Genetic Engineering workshop using the most sophisticated equipment and world-class facilities.

Haverstock Sixth Form Biology A Level students complete their practical work in the Crick Institute labs.

Student Nabiha says, ‘I think my experience at the Crick was unforgettable, and was valuable in enhancing my lab skills as well as soft skills such as communication, team work, problem solving and numeracy. These are all important for almost every degree and career out there. I certainly had a very enjoyable time and hope to take part in any work experiences they have available in my own time!’

Student Anisah adds, ‘it was really enjoyable, especially the group work element of the practical we did as it was interactive and hands on!’
