Dear Parent/Carer,

You will be aware that the Met Office has issued weather warnings for the exceptionally hot conditions that we are currently experiencing. For Wednesday, these have been upgraded to a Red Warning for Extreme Heat.

After careful consideration, we have taken the decision to postpone the Year 7 Transition Evening that was due to take place on Wednesday 24th June. The event will now take place on Wednesday 1st July at the same time.

The safety and wellbeing of our students, families and staff must remain our priority. Given the forecast temperatures and the number of visitors expected on site, we do not feel it would be appropriate to proceed with the event on Wednesday evening.

We appreciate that many families will have made arrangements to attend and apologise for any inconvenience this change may cause. We hope that providing advance notice will allow you to make alternative arrangements where necessary.

We are very much looking forward to meeting you and your child on the 1st July and beginning the exciting transition to Haverstock School.

Further details and a reminder of the arrangements for the evening will be sent closer to the date.
