Coronavirus InformationPosted on: 14th May 2021
As per government guidelines, students should be conducting twice weekly, rapid COVID-19 tests at home. Please make sure your child tests themselves twice a week, 3-5 days apart, in the morning before school if possible and, if not, the evening before.
There is also a useful video to show you how to take the test here.
Help and support is available, including instructions in different languages on how to test and report the results and a video showing you how to take the test. There is no need to keep used test equipment after the test result has been reported. You can put it in your normal bin (household waste). This does not replace symptomatic testing. If your child has symptoms, you should self- isolate immediately, book a PCR (lab) test and follow national guidelines. This does not replace testing for those with symptoms. If you have symptoms your child must self-isolate immediately, book a PCR test and follow national guidelines, including informing the school
Where to get tests from
If you need more tests, you can order then online here: www.gov.uk/order-school-household-tests or your child can collect testing kits from student Services in school.
What to do if there is a positive result
If anyone tests positive you, your household, and anyone the positive person has had close contact with, should self-isolate immediately in line with NHS Test and Trace guidance, for 10 days. You need to report your result to both NHS Test and Trace and the school and order a confirmatory PCR test.
If the result of the test is unclear (void) you should do another test.
If you have any questions, please contact the school or 119 (NHS COVID line).
Remote Learning for students who are self-isolating
For students who are self-isolating, a full timetable of lessons will be delivered via Google Meet. Students begin their lessons at 8.30am and finish at 3pm. You will receive a letter including your child's remote learning timetable, their lesson codes, and a reminder of their G Suite login details via email. If you have any queries, please see the Remote Learning FAQs, the G-Suite pupil guide or email us.
Please note that all live lessons, tutor sessions and assemblies at Haverstock are recorded. This is for safeguarding purposes and also to support us in maintaining high standards of behaviour. No images/audio recordings of your child will be shared except, where necessary, amongst school staff for safeguarding or behaviour management purposes. Recordings will be stored for six months and then deleted.
If you have any questions or concerns, please get in touch via email@example.com. We will also be able to assist if your child cannot access the remote learning due to lack of a suitable electronic device – such as a Chromebook.
