  • A paid summer internship
  • 1:1 Mentoring
  • Workplace visits
  • Guru lectures
  • Key skills masterclasses

Students' eligibility to apply is based on the subjects you study, as well as your successful performance at the assessment day. Programme entry requirements change yearly. Please get in touch to find out more.

“A City law firm is a long way from the estate I grew up on. The HCN offered me hands-on workplace learning and meaningful interactions with business professionals – it helped me realise that the true distance between my estate and The City isn't so great after all.”

Mentors & Volunteers

The mentoring relationship is a key component of the Career Network.

As a mentor, you have a real chance to unlock a student’s potential and help them flourish as they start their journey from education to the workplace, whilst developing your own coaching and leadership skills.

Through sharing your own experiences, offering academic support and advice about the world of work, you will contribute to students’ raised attainment levels, widened career aspirations and increased self-confidence.

The face-to-face time commitment is minimal (1 x every 4-6 weeks, with email contact in between); but the potential positive impact of these relationships on our students is limitless.

"Being mentored by Simon really expanded my view on a lot of things. We met regularly and if I needed help or advice in between times, he was always there at the end of a phone."
Adnan, Business and Finance Network

There’s a variety of ways that your organisation can get involved in supporting the Haverstock Career Network:

  • Paid summer internships where students offer their skills whilst gaining valuable first-hand experience
  • Workplace visits to give insight into professional environments
  • Guru Lectures to share your career experiences with students
  • Masterclass workshops focusing on essential career skill development

We are always looking for organisations and individuals to support the programme. Please get in touch to find out more.

"The biggest impact it had on the business was the buzz of having a work experience. We give our current graduates and apprentices an opportunity to line manager the intern."
